Project description
Swiss Life decided to exploit e-commerce technology and give Independent Financial Advisors (IFAs) and other on-line users access to key services and activities.
Authentication is a crucial part of any e-commerce / web communication channel. The business design required a process that allowed legitimate users a simple method of authentication while blocking unauthorised access.
Chaucer Consulting developed a complete business design and processes for this e-commerce solution. In the design stages both IT and business users developed ideas via work-shops and regular meetings. The final design document included:
- Operational scenarios
- Showing at a high level how the users and Swiss Life teams interact with the application to manage sign-on and authentication.
- Front end processes
- Detailed descriptions of the processes required at the web front-end to drive the users’ interactions with the system.
- Business team processes
- Detailed descriptions of the processes required by the Swiss Life (UK) business team to manage the system.
- System administration
- Summary of the requirements for system administration.
