Project description
St James’s Place Capital serves high net worth clients through a network of self-employed Partners.
All major IT operations are outsourced and the company needed confidence that its technology would survive the Millennium. “Technology” comprised all internal systems and embedded technology as well as systems support provided to Partners.
Confidence demanded an agreed approach and plan as well as an understanding of the costs involved. ItemPlus built and led a multi-disciplinary team, including third parties, to:
- create an inventory of systems and equipment
- assess suppliers’ plans for Year 2000 readiness
- develop an implementation plan
- develop an immediate action plan.
ItemPlus then used its proprietary cost model to develop a budget figure for the Year 2000 project.
The team delivered:
- recommended and costed plans
- analysis of supplier status, risk and issues.
