Project description
The objectives of this assignment were to:
- Identify and agree improvements to processes
- Review and specify improvements to re-invigorate the existing productivity management system.
ItemPlus undertook:
- A critical examination of the processes employed, seeking to eliminate unnecessary tasks or steps and to improve the overall effectiveness and efficiency of processing
- Interview and discussions with the key managers, team leaders and staff
- Direct observation over a period of several days of the operation of the post room
- An examination of the behaviours, performance and results of Team Leaders
- Statistical analysis of the inputs, outputs and workflow of the Post Room
- A review of the key numbers over an eighteen month period i.e. Costs, volumes, FTE, Unit costs etc
Recommendations were made regarding Processes, Productivity Management, the management of quality, service levels and costs.
