Project description

A review of operations with the objective of identifying savings in excess of 10%, prior to a core systems change.

The central operational areas reviewed were:

  • Lending
  • Redemptions
  • Retentions
  • Arrears & Possessions
  • Savings Administration.

In addition the review covered the branch network, assessing its current activities and its potential to take on more administrative and processing work.

The potential benefit identified was a 30% saving in payroll costs in Operations, resulting from a combination of:

  • significant changes in the lending and savings processes
  • systems changes
  • outsourcing.

The project delivered high-level designs for the key process changes.
