The structure and competitive dynamics of retail insurance went through dramatic change in the early 90s.
Swinton decided to complement its well established branch network with a direct telephone channel and new products.
ItemPlus led and supported the Swinton teams in designing, developing, and implementing a new central telephone sales and service operation for personal lines insurance products.
A major focus of the business design was on achieving successful integration of the central operation with the branch operations.
IT implementation was focused on specification and delivery. ItemPlus supplied an Acting Head of IT to manage supplier selection, implementation planning, and delivery of information systems.
