Project description
The Worldwide Group Office of Royal & SunAlliance houses 130 senior executives. The Office aims to exploit Information Technology.
ItemPlus was asked to do a very quick study to assess whether palmtop computers would be more appropriate than laptops for the senior executives.
ItemPlus reviewed and compared the two options in terms of technical capability and usability.
The analysis showed that palmtops currently lacked the processing and communications capability to support the Group’s main applications which are based on Lotus Notes.
ItemPlus therefore recommended the continued use of laptops, with a further review in a year’s time.
