Project description
The Bank took the opportunity to re-engineer its cheque clearing operations “end to end” - including branches and centres.
ItemPlus supported the development of a new cheque processing strategy, implementation plan and programme organisation.
ItemPlus then supported the programme over two years, in particular:
- programme management - hands-on management of elements of the multi project programme, delivering to multiple stakeholders, at varying stages from design to implementation and with varying levels of technology and supplier content
- benefits management - developing workable approaches to cross functional benefits management in large scale and multi-location environments, establishing the benefits management team with supporting processes and tools
- operations consolidation - leading a major study to determine the optimum processing configuration for the Bank’s UK clearing operation
- business design - leading the end-to-end design for cheque servicing in an environment where cheques are not returned to the account holding branch.
