Our approach

A consulting assignment will typically commence with a kick-off meeting involving you, key stakeholders and Chaucer.

The main focus is on understanding the objective(s) and / or goal(s) for the project, while also determining the most important and earliest deliveries.

We listen to your needs and carefully consider the right consultants for the assignment.  Sometimes this means utilising people with specific expertise; in other situations it means ensuring that the consultants have a close cultural fit with your organisation or project team.

Before we proceed on an assignment we will confirm our scope, terms of reference, approach, resources, costs, deliverables and timescale with you in a letter of engagement or proposal document.

From the outset we apply sound business and consulting principles to define your goals and to agree a plan that enables their delivery.  This means that everyone on or affected by the project knows what to expect and when key milestones will be reached.  Open communications are crucial to bringing and keeping everyone on board.
