Project description
A major Customer Facing Business had implemented a new system to support a business change programme to expand its market share and customer proposition.
The system had successfully supported an increase in business and this success had encouraged a rapid series of enhancements.
The rate of change led to concerns about the ability to:
- Maintain and improve / speed to market
- Reduce / maintain delivery cost
- Maintain the robustness of the system
ItemPlus led a review to verify these abilities. The focus of the review was to develop pragmatic recommendations. The review included:
- ‘Opportunity Identification’ based on a fact find
- Development of new opportunity areas
- Briefings and discussions with IS and business staff
In addition, a number of quick wins were identified and documented.
Outcome
Many of the quick wins were implemented rapidly. The suggested executive / managerial actions were put into place.
