Project description
The company aims to globalise the truly “global” components of its IT operations – worldwide applications, their support processes and helpdesks.
The effectiveness of global IT operations was constrained by different national IT strategies and varied governance processes.
ItemPlus supported the project to recommend a new approach to IT governance:
- reviewed internal global applications and their support
- reviewed external best practice and theoretical models (e.g. ITIL, CoBIT)
- identified instances of good and poor practice
- developed a set of best practice governance processes.
The recommended processes were presented to the IT Board.
Outcome
The findings are being taken forward by the World Group Office IT Director.
