Two leading insurance companies were merging. The critical role of IT in the merged company demanded a review of the risks inherent in the merged IT strategy.
ItemPlus led an immediate two week study which identified 28 significant technical risks. The risks were presented to the Board with a recommended action plan.
ItemPlus then led a further three week project to define an IT risk reduction strategy for the merger.
Outcome
The IT merger strategy was redefined in the light of the identified risks, and the risk reduction strategy has since been used in all systems migration decisions.
The merger of the IT systems is being successfully implemented.
