Project description
The Dunfermline Building Society is embarking on a major programme of change impacting across its organisation, people, processes and systems. Our appointment resulted from the fact that ItemPlus could offer all the necessary expertise to assist the Society in meeting its objectives, from design to implementation. Equally important however was our “fit” with the Society’s own team.
Over nine months the consultants worked closely with the dedicated in-house team and the first stage of the ‘Project Destiny’ initiative was completed. The main achievements were:
- defined a target operational model to support the Society’s business vision
- documented current processes and associated activity costs
- selected new mortgage, banking, insurance and CRM systems
- defined an appropriate transition strategy
- set up and managed a programme office.
Outcome
Contracts with the chosen suppliers are currently being negotiated. In addition, ItemPlus are now initiating the implementation phase, provide a number of project director and management roles.
